This is interesting! I've been playing with this technique for a few weeks now and having seen how a couple projects have come out, I'm envisioning lots of ways to use this. You will need a rug hook and frame for this, so essentially you could call it a rug hooking project, but technically it's not rug hooking. I'm calling this technique "thatching" as that's what it looks like to me.

You may have a favorite orange wool at home, if so please know that this projects takes 1/4 yd.
