Chunkeez are a fun, very primitive new line of patterns that are only drawn on linen as they are intended for hooking with torn or wide cut strips. If you've always wanted to learn how to hook but don't have a cutter then this is for you. These primitive patterns are done by tearing your wool into 1/2 inch strips to hook the pattern. The primitive chunky shapes make it easy for beginners to start pulling loops without worrying about detail. Finished size is a manageable 7 x 14 inches, perfect for beginners.
All of our patterns are drawn on linen, paying close attention to the straight of the grain.
Kits come with a colored cover photo, unless otherwise noted, including a rug recipe card with our recommended woolen amounts and the size of strip we used to hook it and all the woolens needed to hook it.
*Please see the related item below showing our Primitive end Pencil hook which ideal for this project. Though a gripper frame is best, hookers can use a wooden hoop until they know that they will love rug hooking.
