Back to Blogging!!!

Posted by Julie on Oct 29th 2021

I love blogging!  It's been 4 years since my last blog post....wait a minute, I almost feel like I'm in confession, lol.  I started blogging a long time ago and it became part of a daily routine as our business grew.  Pretty soon there just wasn't time in the day to sit and write my thoughts.  The platform I was using to blog was antiquated and frustrating so I just gave up on it, but, I missed it so much.  I can post quick little blurbs on facebook about whats happening here and there or post a pretty picture to sell an item but with a blog I can be a bit more detailed, more personal.  My blog was always a place to share recipes, thoughts on the day, projects in the works, fun things and I am so excited to be back to it.
As I sit here tonight writing this I am waiting for the new website to become active.  As I write this I'm filled with nervousness because when I type in www.theoldtatteredflag.com, nothing comes up.  The best way I can explain a website is to say that basically it is like moving your belongings from one place to another. We have upgraded to a newer, fancier, shinier platform that allows us to add products and pictures easier.  It has nice options for our customers like, well, this... the blog, a wishlist on items you might want to ask for and well, it's just prettier and easier all around.  So, I will try not to hit refresh every five minutes to see my "belongings" are at their new home.....maybe I'll put my feet up and do a little hooking, but then again if you are reading this then that means the website is up and running, so I can rest my brain and hook to my hearts content.
So, I do hope you'll check in every once in awhile to see what we are up to.  I plan to share a lot about... well everything, hooking and punching projects, good recipes, artsy projects, renovations, tips and tricks and lots more.

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out our new website and peek here at the blog.....

I'll see you next time.....
