Wow! I just love big, bold, wool flowers and this one doesn't disappoint. Those of you who follow us on facebook and have watched our journey of putting together our new shop will know that we had a big hole in the chimney that needed something pretty to hide it. What could be more pretty than a big flower? We did a facebook live video demo-ing how to make this lovely flower. Visit our facebook page and view the video that was posted on May 6, 2020.
In this kit you will receive the primitive linen backing for your flower (with a circle drawn on), 3/4 yd. of beautiful, primitive gold woolens for the petals and 1/4 yd. brown wool for the center. Please see picture #2 to see that the center of this flower is woven. You will also receive a pretty cotton fabric for the back of your flower. Instructions and templates are also included. (For those of you who have our Sizzix Petal dies, this flower was made using the large pointed petal). To make this flower you will need cardboard, twigs, brown thread or wire, a rug hook, scissors, ideally a rug hooking frame though a hoop can be used, as well as some knowledge of rug hooking and/or proddy rug hooking.
The finished flower is 13/14 inches wide.
