Have you always wanted to learn how to rug hook? Now is the time. Carol or Mom, as we call her, is the rug hooking “guru” here at The Old Tattered Flag. Plan to spend 2 hours with Carol learning all about the wonderful world of rug hooking. You will learn the basics of rug hooking, the proper tools, the proper way to pull loops, finishing and much more. This class will come with a beginner pattern. Please choose the pattern you would like up above so we can be prepared. You will also receive one of our pencil hooks, though we are going to encourage you to try as many hooks you would like. (If a different hook is chosen there may be an extra charge.). Students will have use of our Spinner frames during the class. Frames may be purchased separately. We like you to get a feel for the class before committing to a frame.
Carol will send you home with homework (to finish your rug) and will have you come back for a second quick finishing demo, this will also be demo’d in the first class if you are unable to come back a second time. If you’ve been wanting to learn, Carol is the right person to take a class from, she has taught rug hooking for more than 10 years, has a gentle but free spirit way of teaching. You will be very happy as you enter your journey into this wonderful craft.
