Oh wow! This die is very versatile. The easy way to use this is to make a variety of different sized flowers or cut flowers for your next appliqué project, or you can make a tree! How fun! The sizes are 1, 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2, 3 3 1/2, and 4 inches. Custom designed by us and made special for The Old Tattered Flag, this die has templates four fringe sections. Placing 3 layers of wool on your die will allow you to cut 12, 1 1/8 inch wide pieces of fringe with one turn of the handle. Actual fringe will be 1 inch. Cutting area is 18 inches long. You can use fringe for the wooly trees, as an edge to your rug, for a "fringy" sheep...the sky is the limit. No more snipping those little pieces, spend your time actually making the trees instead of snipping wool!

25 inch plastic pads are necessary to use these dies. The shorter pads you received with your Sizzix machine will not work as they will not extend the length of the cutting area. The 25 inch plastic pads are sold separately here on our website or as an add on option above.

No, these dies are made to work with Sizzix machines. You can use the Sizzix Big shot or any other Sizzix machine that has a 6 inch opening.
How long do the dies last?
We started using this amazing die cutting system in 2012 and our first die is still going strong and cutting as perfect as the first day we used it.
Can I cut other things?
Yes, most definitely! Die cutting systems are meant to cut a variety of fabrics and you can even cut paper for scrapbooking. Sizzix has hundreds of wonderful products for scrapbooking and quilting.
