We are thrilled to have Doreen Frost join us for the first time this year. She has a lovely little project planned.  Here are her words:
Summer Garden Pocket by Doreen Frost ~ Class cost $90.00 (includes full kit and four-hour class)
The finished pocket measures 7" x 5" plus ribbon length
A lovely,hand-stitched, hanging pocket perfect for wearing and keeping your needfuls close at hand.  Featuring Blackberry Primitives hand-dyed wool and linen, you'll create a lovely pocket in muted colors of Honey, cream, Wild Berry, and my favorite shades of green. There is a scissor pocket on the back, where you can place your initials.  A decorative stem stitch, dyed cotton twine loop, vintage button, and length of ribbon will complete the pocket.  *I use mine for keeping my glasses safe as I am always taking them off, setting them down, and promptly forgetting where I put them!  I tuck my embroidery scissors in the back pocket along with my small needle magnet and embroidery needle.  The pocket is also large enough for a typical cell phone :).  Students will need to bring their own scissors **I highly recommend the Karen Kay Buckley small scissors with the micro-serrated blade* and your favorite embroidery needle. You'll want a needle with an eye large enough to hold three strands of floss.  I use the John James size 24 chenille needle for all of my wool applique'
I hope you'll join me ~ doreen frost
