Come spend the day with Ali Strebel creating this patriotic piece just in time for the 4th of July, and at the same time learn several techniques. Students will hook into wool, do some wool appliqué, and finish it off with needle felted embellishments. There's even an adaptation for our Canadian friends. Lots of other samples will be shared where these techniques were used. Cost is $80 for a complete kit and teaching. Students will need to bring hooking supplies, paper scissors, and a basic sewing kit.
Ali Strebel has been teaching fiber art nationally and internationally since 1986. Her business, Ali Strebel Designs for Kindred Spirit, is located in Dayton, Ohio where she sells the line of books and patterns she has published as well as hand dyed wool, yarn, roving and other fiber art supplies. She specializes in incorporating different techniques and fibers into her rug hooking and teaches others, inspiring them to do the same.
*On a personal note...
Ali Strebel knows her stuff! When you watch Ali you can see her enthusiasm in this wonderful world of fiberart that we all love. I have many of her designs and have enjoyed making them. Ali is fun and a wealth of knowledge and information for many of us in this business. We are honored to have her join us this year.
